Before entering the tech world, Elitza spent over 20 years abroad in hospitality in Sales and Marketing, Operations, and the position of General Manager of a hotel and tour operator. She has been honored twice with awards by the Marianas Visitors Authority, the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands (USA) Tourism Authority for being instrumental in developing this destination throughout the years (2003-2016). She is a member of SKAL Bulgaria, Rotary Bulgaria, and other organizations.

Upon returning to Bulgaria after decades of making a career abroad, Elitza participated and graduated from the Founder Institute, the world’s premier idea-stage accelerator and startup launch program. As a hotel GM, she constantly looked for ways to optimize the employees’ time and ensure customers get assisted as fast as possible. Getting into conversational AI was the next logical step for her in searching for a tool that can do the job – first in hospitality, then in every other industry.

Since returning to Europe, Elitza has been a speaker at various events about digitization in tourism and hospitality and other industries, usage of digital assistants as part of the overall business digital strategy, as well as about women in tech.

One of the most significant initiatives in which Elitza participated, was the first AI city chatbot in Bulgaria, Plovdiv City Concierge – a digital assistant in English, released in April 2019 to support the visitors of Plovdiv with the helpful information in partnership with Your Pocket Bulgaria.
